About USO
United Schools Organisation of India (USO), founded in 1951, is one of India’s oldest and most respected educational NGOs. Based in New Delhi, USO is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political organisation dedicated to supporting schools across the country in nurturing responsible, confident, and globally aware citizens.
We work to bridge academic learning with real-world awareness by offering a wide range of programs and initiatives for students and teachers in schools nationally. These include national-level tests, competitions, workshops, festivals, and conferences that encourage critical thinking and promote understanding of important social, environmental, and developmental issues. We regularly collaborate with UN agencies, government bodies, and other organisations to bring meaningful educational experiences to schools.
A division of USO is The USO International Centre (USOIC). This is the organisation’s dedicated space for learning and collaboration. It hosts a variety of programs, training sessions, and events not only by USO but also by other NGOs, educational institutions, and government organisations. We also operate the USO Co-Action Learning Centre, located in East Delhi. Active since 1992, this Centre offers free education to children and tailoring classes for young women from nearby underprivileged communities, reflecting our long-standing commitment to inclusive and transformative education.
With a holistic vision of learning, USO continues to empower schools and educators to shape young minds for a more thoughtful, inclusive, and sustainable world.

AccessAbilty Series
This empowering series supports students with special needs through accessible, level-based assessments that build confidence, strengthen functional skills, and encourage real-life readiness. It promotes inclusion, celebrates individual growth, and helps schools understand and support each learner’s unique developmental needs.
Art for Change
USO’s ‘Art For Change’ series uses national art competitions to spark social and environmental awareness. Students express their views creatively, becoming agents of change, empowering young minds to inspire dialogue, empathy, and action. The initiative fosters creativity and responsible expression through art.
Beyond Boundaries
This inspiring series empowers specially-abled students through creative competitions in drawing, painting, dance, and recipe-making. It showcases their talents while addressing global issues, using art as a tool for advocacy. The initiative celebrates unique perspectives, fosters inclusion, and encourages community action.
Inter School Fest
A high-energy, one-day festival that brings together schools from across the city to celebrate student talent, creativity, and critical thinking. Centered around a meaningful theme, it is a powerful platform for young minds to compete, collaborate, and spark change, where every moment encourages purposeful learning and action.
National Conferences
A 4-day national event, held in a different city each time, combining a vibrant schools festival and a thought-provoking conference—bringing together students and educators to compete, create, and collaborate for a better future. From performances to discussions, it is a celebration of talent, ideas, and impactful learning.
National Tests
Celebrating 75 years of academic excellence, USO offers offline curricular and extra-curricular tests for Std. 1–12, held in schools to boost learning and confidence. Participating schools receive certificates and recognition. These meaningful assessments support academic growth and help shape future leaders.
