All tests are conducted offline within school campuses, ensuring a secure and familiar environment. Each participating student receives recognition through official certificates, while schools are acknowledged for their continued commitment to excellence.

There are several reasons that underscore the significance of participating in our tests, which encourage academic discipline, self-assessment, and national-level exposure from an early age. USO National Tests 2025
USO National Tests are thoughtfully divided into two broad categories – Curriculum-Based and Extracurricular assessments. For students of Classes 1 to 5, the curriculum section includes Mental Maths and the newly introduced English Skills test, aimed at strengthening foundational abilities. In the extracurricular domain, USO offers engaging tests on UN Information, General Knowledge, and IT & AI, encouraging students to explore beyond textbooks and stay updated with global and technological trends.

The USO National Test syllabus is thoughtfully crafted to nurture curiosity, strengthen critical thinking, and build global awareness among students from Std. 1 to 12. Std. 1-3: Our curriculum for students in Classes 1 to 3 focuses on building a strong foundation in mathematics through a comprehensive syllabus that includes:

Our Test Fee structure per student, per test is: ₹175 (e-book) OR ₹250 (printed book).
Detailed Information About USO National Tests - 2025
This section provides all other details about the USO National Tests 2025. It also outlines the recognition and accolades offered to participating schools, teachers, and principals—ensuring that every contributor to student success is acknowledged and celebrated.
At USO, we believe in empowering schools not just through academics, but also by helping them embrace technology. By rewarding participating schools with tools like colour printers and mini projectors, we support their journey toward modern, resource-rich classrooms. This initiative is our way of bridging educational gaps and fostering equitable access to quality learning environments.
A nominal fee is charged per student for each USO National Test to cover the cost of preparatory materials, question papers, evaluation, and certification. This ensures the continued quality, reach, and integrity of our assessments conducted nationwide.
The fees are:
- ₹175 for students opting for the E-book.
- ₹250 for students opting for the printed book.
Schools must ensure a minimum number of student participants per test to qualify for institutional recognition and principal/teacher accolades. Tests must be conducted within the school premises under the supervision of designated staff. Timely registration and adherence to guidelines are essential for smooth coordination and evaluation. Please note below:
- Minimum 100 student enrollment per test from each school.
- Schools can retain ₹20 (school registration) OR ₹10 (online registration by students) to cover all test-related expenses.
- USO Member Schools to get an additional ₹5 per student as reimbursement, if student participation is more than 500.
All participating students receive certificates as a mark of their effort and involvement. High-performing students are recognized for their excellence, encouraging motivation, confidence, and a strong foundation for future academic success.
- Certificate of Excellence, USO Backpack, Medal and National Winner Badge shall be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd National Winners.
- Certificate of Achievement, Medal and Topper Badge for the Standardwise Topper from each school.
- Certificate of Merit and Medal for students scoring 90%+.
- Participation Certificates for student scores of 33% – 89%.
- National Winners names shall be published on our website and World Informo – USO’s national newsletter since 1953.
To acknowledge and encourage large-scale participation, USO offers special rewards to schools based on student enrolment numbers. From exclusive USO goodies for coordinators and principals to useful classroom resources, we ensure schools are appreciated for their enthusiastic engagement.
- 500–999 students: Teacher Coordinator and Principal to receive USO goodies.
- 1,000–1,499 students: Teacher Coordinator and Principal to receive USO goodies. The school shall get a colour printer.
- 1,500+ students: Teacher Coordinator and Principal to receive USO goodies. The school to get a portable projector.

Student Data Submission
To simplify the registration process, schools can download and fill out a pre-formatted student template. This Excel-based form allows bulk entry of student information, making it easier to upload all participating students at once.
FAQ National Tests 2025
In 2025, USO shall be conducting the tests offline only. Hence, schools may register their students. All material, questions papers, OMR answer sheets, certificates etc. shall be sent to school for distribution to students.
Any student of Std. 1 – 12 studying at a school in India can participate in our tests through their school.
Your child may participate through their school in USO National Tests 2025.
No. It is not mandatory for any school to apply for USO membership or to enroll in USO National Tests.
However, only member schools are permitted to participate in our competitions, campaigns, and other selected activities. USO school membership is Rs. 100 for 1 year – valid from April 1 to March 31 each year.
Any school in India can apply for USO Membership @ a nominal amount of Rs. 100 per year. The online Membership form includes the payment link. (Click Here to Fill the Form)
Yes. Test preparatory material shall be provided to all students.
For students participating in the Mental Math Test (Std. 1-3), registration will grant access to 5 online practice tests, each containing 40 questions. Additionally, students who require printed study material will receive a practice test book featuring 5 tests, each with 40 questions.
For all other tests, study material in the form of an e-book/ printed book shall be provided to schools for distribution to students.
No. The test fee covers the cost of the study material or practice test as well.
All tests are being conducted offline at school. Question Papers (different per standard for students of Std. 1, 2 and 3; and different as per category for students of Std. 4-12) shall be sent to the school along with OMR answer sheets. All students (Std. 1-3) shall answer on the question paper itself. All students (Std. 4-12) shall answer on OMR sheets.
All registered students shall receive Printed Certificate as follows:
- Each student who scores 33% – 89% will receive a printed Certificate of Participation.
- Each student who score 90% and above shall receive Certificate of Merit & Medal.
- Certificate of Achievement, Medal and Topper Badge shall be awarded to Standard wise Topper from each school.
- Certificate of Excellence, USO Backpack, Medal and National Winner Badge will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd National Winners.
All schools that register their students for USO National Tests shall receive Certificate of Recognition.
