National Children’s Science Painting Competition
National Children’s Science Painting Competition
The National Children’s Science Painting Competition was conducted in collaboration with CSIR-NISCAIR, and with support from UNESCO – New Delhi Office, on the occassion of World Science Day for Peace and Development. UNESCO’s theme for 2019 was ‘Science: A Human Right’. Using this theme, age appropriate sub-themes were provided to students of Class 1-12. This competition saw participation from 19 states.
Our National Campaigns
Summer Reading Campaign
This Campaign runs during the summer months of May and June. Aimed to encourage reading amongs school students, this Campaign is open to students of all ages of USO Member Schools. USO awards certificates to the top three readers from each school.
Yoga Campaign
Organized in collaboration with Ministry of AYUSH, USO awards certificates to Member Schools that practice yoga at their schools during the week of International Yoga Day, June 21 – July 5. Schools send us photos to be published on our social media pages and World Informo, our monthly newsletter. Aimed to encourage adoption of yoga in students on a regular basis.
Swachh School Campaign
Conducted during October 1 – 6, this Campaign is meant to inculcate the importance of clean surroundings. Schools clean their school premises and/or neighbourhood, the photos and videos are then shared on our social media handles.
