‘What does leadership mean to me?’
DR. ANURADHA MEHTA

In my opinion, leadership is an act of guiding a set of people to achieve a common goal. For a great leader its not about ‘me’, but about ‘them’. A good leader always reposes trust in his team, recognises their strength and supports them by sharing their vision and make others believe that things can be done differently, and spot opportunities that others cannot see.  He also creates a congenial environment to hit the bull’s eye.

It also means, knowing yourself well enough to know your own weaknesses and thereby being able to manage those weaknesses, recruit people to compliment those weaknesses, and above all seeing leadership as being first among equals. Everyone knows that we always lead by example and there is no other effective way to inspire people.
